Prayer for each of US

[Greeting]
[1:1] Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,
To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons:
[2] Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
[Thanksgiving and Prayer]
[3] I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, [4] always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, [5] because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. [6] And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. [7] It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. [8] For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. [9] And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, [10] so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, [11] filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

(Philippians 1:1-11 ESV)

Last night Dad shared this passage at Bible study and it was a real encouragement. What the Lord taught me through it is that I NEED THE BODY of Christ. I should be yearning for fellowship with other believers (and sisters count in this... we are not only sisters by blood, but through Christ), and we should be constantly seeking to encourage each other through prayer and fellowship.

SO, today... I pray this for each of you. And am thankful that God has promised each of us sisters that the work that God has begun in our lives WILL BE COMPLETED. :)

Amen. :) Love to you all!! We are headed out the door now to the mountains and wish you could ALL BE HERE!!!!!

Ephesians 1:18-19

18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might

I LOVE this passage in Scripture... The idea that jumps out is that we do not just need to ask for the power of God in our lives, but we must be aware that power is already available to us at salvation. The same power the raised Christ from the dead is already mine in Christ. It really puts things into perspective when I am trying to do things on
my own or for myself...there is a difference. When instead I can choose to live today, availing myself to God's power already working in me, knowing that my motivation can be to seek His glory above all--IN CHRIST! Have a great day!
